To ensure the best possible experience for all Marketing Cloud Engagement users, Salesforce imposes certain limits on API usage. These limits help balance transaction loads and maintain the availability of the Lightning Platform API. While there are no absolute daily or hourly limits, it's recommended to avoid exceeding certain thresholds to optimize performance.

Specific Limits

The type of organization and edition determine the specific API limit count. For more information, refer to API Request Limits. All API calls (including Bulk API and REST API calls) contribute to the overall limit.

The recommended limit for SOAP API calls is 6 million per day. This limit applies regardless of whether the calls are made from external resources or internally from Marketing Cloud.

By adhering to these limits and optimizing API calls and data structures, you can improve performance and ensure the continued availability of Marketing Cloud Engagement for all customers.
